My name is Delta Jolly, but most of the time you'll hear people call me by my last name, Jolly. It’s probably because it's a lot of fun to say!
So, where do I start with my story?
I grew up as an Air Force brat, which means my young life was full of adventure and travel. I hope to share those adventures with you in the very near future.
As a young adult, I attended college and earned my Bachelor of Science from Texas A&M University - College Station in Agricultural Development. I had a heart for helping people so I briefly pursued a master's degree in education, but at the time, realized that I wasn’t ready for that challenge. Five jobs, and a whole lot of life experience later, I earned my Master of Science in Administration of Justice and Security.
I began my law enforcement career as a dispatcher in Bryan, Texas at Brazos County Emergency Communications District. That stirring in my heart to help people led me to advance to a trainer where my confidence soared. While dispatching in Bryan I had my daughter Peyten. But even as a single mom, I dreamed of the day I could be on the other side of the radio.
After leaving Bryan, I dispatched for Bexar County Sheriff's Office and ultimately Georgetown Police Department. It was here that I got the opportunity to step out from behind the console and become a police officer. That heart pull of helping people drove me to get to know the community where I work and live. I started building relationships and friendships that I am blessed to have.
In addition to my public service duties, I have a part time career as an adjunct professor at Austin Community College which allows me to enhance student's education using my personal and professional experiences to make learning exciting. My wonderful and supportive family has allowed me to dedicate my limited free time to help build a legacy.
I am a mother to the fabulous Peyten who is my inspiration and motivation for all my endeavors. During our journey together, I have wanted nothing more than to show her how to be strong and dedicated to what she desires to pursue in this life. That has included earning a Second-Degree Black Belt at Valor Martials, becoming a pageant queen in Our Little Miss Pageant system, and a skilled vacation planner! Peyten has pushed me beyond the boundaries of motherhood and into the depths of really exploring who I am and what I want to do with this one life.
Be the first to hear about upcoming new arrivals.
